Thursday and Friday!
Thursday is announced a day of mourning, for people killed on Monday, of course by Mousavi, and he has asked people to come out in number in black outfits. He could have done it for Wednesday. The pace of events is very fast, and he should do things and decide quickly! why Thursday? this gives the hardliners another day to think and organize, now it is a fight against the clock.
Friday will be a decisive day. Very good or very bad, this is my guts feeling. Khamanei the supreme leader will be holding the Friday prayer, he craves to announce a tough and brutal stance against the protesters, but before he could do that, militia or guards should resolve the issue of demonstrations on the street. That is why I think time is important, hopefully people can sustain the pressure peacefully till Friday and as somebody suggested even during and in the prayer sermon. That would restrict heavy handed reactions from Khamenei.

In support of your freedom and that of the people of the world.

I was born in the USA and am a christian. I have been watching, with sadness, the violance happening in Iran of late caused by the disputed election there.

I agree with the notion that all people have the right to worship in the way they choose. That government has not the right to impose religion upon its citizens. I also support the right of the people to free and honest elections of their leaders.

Might I quote from our Declaration of Independence:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”

I support the Iranian people in their quest for freedom and self-determination.

I am an avarage man, who lives an avarage life in the USA. Be assured, people of Iran, the people of the USA only want peace, freedom and friendship. Our loyality to our government is not equal to our loyality to the people and the ideas of liberty and freedom.

This is not about religion at this point, However I don't believe anybody who commits act of violence, be it Moslem, Christian or Jew is deeply religious, that is just illusion. This is about imposing certain political viewpoint on own people, a minority that tries to drive the majority, and color it religious to manipulate the mass.
Right now, Iranian people are frustrated because their election has been rigged and their will, has been ridiculed.
